Karah Kessler To All Instructors
Hello Legacy Families! My name is Karah Kessler. I was born and raised in Cherry Hill, NJ. After I graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in Psychology, I had the privilege of working as a therapist in an organization in Philadelphia that provided one on one and group therapy to children and youth who were navigating through trauma, instability, emotional and or behavior challenges. This was one of the most rewarding times in my life.
I moved to San Diego County over 20 years ago and have been with my husband for 16 years. We have two amazing daughters. I am a stay-at-home/homeschooling/working mom as I am also the Administrator for my husband’s electrical company.
For the last (5) years, I have been a homeschool educator with a passion for guiding children in their early learning years. I blend traditional, Montessori, and other tactile methods to support each child’s natural curiosity, abilities, and strengths. My background in Psychology helps me create a calm, safe, and nurturing environment to support the whole child-academically, socially, and emotionally. I believe in making learning meaningful, playful, and personal whether we are exploring early math, developing reading skills, or discovering the world around us. I practice a very child-led with gentle guidance education style as each child’s journey is unique and all their own.
I am honored and excited to work with families on their learning journey and be a part of the Legacy Community that values connection, creativity, and growth.
