Matthew McDonough grew up just south of Boston and had been in athletics his entire life, competing as a varsity wrestler, football and basketball player on both school and travel/select teams. His passion for fitness began with weightlifting, which led him to pursue training and strength development as a lifelong discipline.

After serving four years in the United States Marine Corps as a BCP Representative (Body Composition Program), where he coached and mentored Marines in physical fitness, Matthew transitioned in civilian life and began training clients. He is currently studying holistic nutrition at the university level and has worked as a professional personal trainer and diet coach for over ten years, speciallizing in holistic living and functional bodybuilding.

Matthew's teaching approach emphasizes strength, conditioning and long tern health, focusing both on physical and mental well being. His unique training style combines hybrid methods of fitness with a holistic nutritional philosophy, helping students build strength, confidence and discipline.
